Janna is a freelance journalist and filmmaker. She currently works as an Associate Producer at Trilogy Films.

Janna is a 2026 NYSCA grantee. She will use the grant to complete production of her documentary short, 10 by 15.

Previously, Janna was an Assistant Editor at Radical Media in New York, where she worked on projects for NBC Peacock, PBS, the History Channel and more.

Janna received her master’s degree and received summa cum laude in documentary filmmaking from the Craig Newmark Graduate School of Journalism at CUNY in New York City.

Her favorite film is The Graduate.
